Evan Chen
Bio: Evan is a sophomore majoring in finance with a concentration in corporate finance. On campus, he is part of the finance society, investment banking society, and Husky Case Competition Club. This past fall, Evan had the opportunity to intern as a financial analyst for a startup SaaS company based in California and is currently a FP&A intern for Yum Brands. Outside of school, Evan enjoys running, following the stock market, and traveling. At Hillside Ventures, Evan is excited to dive deep into the entrepreneur space and work with innovative startups to learn more about the aspects behind growing a business. Evan strives to combine his creativity and analytical capacity to create value in decision-making.
Noah Frank
Bio: Noah Frank is a senior Political Science and Economics double major from South Windsor, CT. With a background in strategic operations & management, Noah has channeled policy through a business transformation throughout his undergraduate career. In addition to his work with Hillside, Noah is a Project Manager at 475 Consulting and conducts institutional research on fostering entrepreneurial growth with the University's Werth Institute.
Mason Kolean
Bio: Mason Kolean is a Junior from Michigan pursuing a major in Finance. Aside from being an incoming analyst at Hillside Ventures, he is the President of UConn Investment Banking Society, a member of the men's baseball team, a member of the professional business fraternity Delta Sigma Pi, and a member of the Finance Society. This summer he will be interning at William Blair as a summer analyst in their investment banking Equity Capital Markets division. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, golfing, and traveling.
Dhanush Kotumraju
Bio: Dhanush Kotumraju is a sophomore who is double majoring in Finance and Statistics. This past summer, he worked as an Embark Scholar Intern at KPMG. In his free time, Dhanush enjoys exercising, watching sports, and hanging out with friends and family.
Victoria Reid
Bio: Victoria Reid is a sophomore finance major with a minor in business data analytics. She has an emerging interest in management consulting, private equity, and investment banking. She is also the Director of External Affairs for the UConn Consulting Group and an operations intern at Stable Insurance. Outside of school and work, she enjoys traveling, hiking, and strength training.
Sean Macary
Bio: Sean is a junior Computer Science and Engineering major from West Hartford, CT. This upcoming semester, he is extremely excited to be joining Hillside and learning all about the inner workings of the venture capital industry. Specifically, he is looking forward to working with the team on empowering innovative companies and individuals who are working to create solutions to an ever changing landscape of real world problems. His interests outside of school include hockey and golf..
Abhi Bhabad
Bio: Abhi Bhabad is a junior studying computer science. Outside of academics, Abhi is passionate about cloud computing, cyber security, and various emerging technologies. He is excited about the intersection of the IT field and business. He has had the opportunity to work with a number of IT related start up companies, as well has had the experience of starting his own. Currently, he works for Vizium, a technology company dedicated to creating value for health care organizations and providers, and helping them implement strategic initiatives to deliver greater value to their patients. I hope to increase my knowledge about venture capitalism and private equity, and gain valuable experiences performing modern VC strategies and interacting with real companies.
Michael Dacosta
Bio: Mike Dacosta is a senior Finance major with a minor in Real Estate and Urban Economics at The University of Connecticut. He is the Treasurer of the real estate society and has competed in the Villanova University and Cornell University global real estate case competitions. Michael has a particular interest in studying the debt side of commercial real estate transactions. He also has experience working on an edTech startup through UConn’s CCEI programs; Get Seeded, Accelerate UConn, and SummerFellowship. Outside of school, he enjoys listening to music, watching documentaries, and UConn Basketball.
