Fall Class 23': Hillside New Analysts

Introducing Hillside's New Members!

Hillside Ventures is proud to welcome the Fall 2023 Analyst class! These students have all demonstrated a passion for venture capital, outstanding leadership skills, and exceptional academic performance. Our new Analysts will help source deals, connect with founders, conduct industry research, and expand Hillside’s presence across the venture capital and entrepreneurship ecosystems. We’re excited to work with them and continue to support innovation at UConn!

Ayden Gauthier

Ayden Gauthier is a junior pursuing a degree in Finance. At Hillside, Ayden is part of the SportsTech vertical. Outside of Hillside, he is part of the Finance Society, Investment Banking Society, and Sigma Phi Epsilon. In his free time, Ayden enjoys exercising, watching sports, playing golf, and spending time with his friends, family, and dog. 

Matt Pasquale

Matt Pasquale is a senior majoring in Finance. At Hillside, Matt is part of the SportsTech vertical. Outside of Hillside, he is part of the Men’s Ice Hockey Team, Student Managed Fund, and IB society. In his spare time, Matt enjoys sports, reading, cooking, and hanging out with friends.

Jessica Lockwood

Jessica Lockwood is a senior pursuing a dual degree in Management and Communication. At Hillside, she is a part of the EdTech vertical. Outside of Hillside, she is part of the Residence Hall Association, Business Management Society, Undergraduate Student Government, and Student Alumni Association. Some of her hobbies include lifting, reading, and spending time with her dog, Daisy.

Catherine Rodney

Catherine Rodney is a senior pursuing a dual major in Actuarial Science and Finance. At Hillside, Catherine is part of the InsurTech vertical. Outside of Hillside, she is the president of UConn Actuarial Society and Director of Chapter Events and Programming for Alpha Phi. In her free time, she loves to weight lift, listen to music, longboard, surf, and be outside.

Josh Park

Josh Park is a junior majoring in Finance. At Hillside, Josh is part of the InsurTech vertical. Outside of Hillside, he is the President of the Business Golf Club and is part of the UConn Consulting Group. In his spare time, he enjoys playing spikeball, golfing, fishing, and stretching.

Ajay Natarajan

Ajay Natarajan is a senior pursuing a dual degree in Economics and Statistics. At Hillside, he is part of the InsurTech vertical. Outside of Hillside, he is involved in the Federal Reserve Challenge team, the Student Alumni Association, and the Outing Club. Some of his hobbies include hiking, watching baseball, reading, and weather forecasting.

Julianna Cushner

Julianna Cushner is a junior pursuing a degree in Finance. At Hillside, Julianna is a part of the Sustainability vertical. Outside of Hillside, she is the VP of Women's Finance Association and a mentor in the Financial Literacy Innovation Program. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, hanging out with friends, and baking.

Laura Braddick

Laura Braddick is a senior pursuing a degree in Business Administration and Management. At Hillside, Laura is part of the Sustainability vertical. Outside of Hillside, she is a Werth Innovator in the Climatewerx and Build Hartford cohort and she was formerly on the Women’s Rowing team. In her free time, she enjoys surfing, skiing, hiking, and painting.

Alexandra Richo

Alexandra Richo is a junior pursuing a degree in Real Estate. At Hillside, she is a part of the Sustainability vertical. Outside of Hillside, she is the president of real estate society and a peer mentor. In her free time she enjoys hiking, walking, cooking with her roommates, and going to the gym.

Aime Mulungula

Aime Mulungula is a junior pursuing a degree in Business Management with a concentration in Entrepreneurship. At Hillside, he is a part of the Sustainability vertical. Outside of Hillside, Aime is a Werth Innovator and Founder at the Werth institute and he’s a part of the African Student Association, Business Leaders of UConn, and Business Management Society. In his spare time, he enjoys listening to music, painting and drawing, pickup soccer and weight lifting.

Krishna Chilakapati

Krishna Chilakapati is a senior pursuing a degree in Computer Science. At Hillside, she is part of the EdTech vertical. Outside of Hillside, she is a software engineer at the UConn Digital Experience Group and part of the Society of Women Engineers. In her free time, she enjoys lifting, Pilates, and listening to music.

Alexander Cameron

Alexander Cameron is a sophomore pursuing a dual degree in Mathematics and Statistics. At Hillside, Alexander is a part of the STEM Fund. Outside of Hillside, he is part of Finance Society and the Sigma Chi Fraternity. In his free time, he likes to run, raise money for the Connecticut Children's Hospital, and hang out with friends.

Pranav Seshadri

Pranav Seshadri is a junior pursuing a degree in Exercise Science. At Hillside, he is a part of the STEM Fund. Outside of Hillside, Pranav is the Chair of Membership Development for the Sigma Theta Alpha and he does research in both the Biosignal Processing and Wearable Device Lab and a Kinesiology research group that collaborates with the UConn Institute of Sports Medicine. In his free time, Pranav enjoys reading classics or historical fiction, going to concerts, and lifting.

Griffin Macary

Griffin Macary is a junior majoring in Finance. At Hillside, he is a part of the STEM Fund. Outside of Hillside, Griffin is part of Finance Society, Investment Banking Society, Real Estate Society, and Phi Delta Theta. In his free time, Griffin enjoys Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Ice Hockey, and Lacrosse.

Marianella Salinas

Marianella Salinas is a senior pursuing a dual degree in Computer Science and Mathematics. At Hillside, she is a part of the Sustainability vertical. Outside of Hillside, she is a part of BOLD Scholars, Werth Innovators, and Women in Computer Science. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, running, and art galleries.

Shreekar Vishwanatha

Shreekar Vishwanatha is a senior pursuing a degree in Finance. At Hillside, he is a part of the InsurTech team. Outside of Hillside he is involved in Finance Society, Investment Banking Society, and the Student Managed Fund.

Danny Laboy

Danny Laboy is a senior majoring in Finance with a concentration in Corporate Finance. At Hillside, he is a part of the InsurTech vertical. Outside of Hillside, he is a part of the Finance Society E-Board and is involved in Business Leaders of UConn and the Financial Literacy Innovation Program.

Michael Tompkins

Michael Tompkins is a senior pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering with a minor in Entrepreneurship. At Hillside, he is a part of the Sustainability vertical. Outside of Hillside, he is part of the Investment Banking Society, Real Estate Society, Finance Society, and Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society.

Kwame Kwarteng

Kwame Kwarteng is a sophomore majoring in Biomedical Engineering. At Hillside, he is a part of the STEM Fund. Outside of Hillside, he is the President of the Scholars House Learning Community and he is involved in the National Society of Black Engineers and the National Association of Black Accountants.

John Oei

John Oei is a junior pursuing a degree in Finance. At Hillside, he is a part of the STEM Fund. Outside of Hillside, he is involved in Acapella (A Completely Different Note), Running Club, Honors in Business, Irish Dance Club, Alpha Kappa Psi Business Fraternity, and Finance Society. In his free time, John enjoys surfing, producing music, and he just finished producing his first full-length album this summer.

Seth Pappalardo

Seth Pappalardo is a senior pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering. At Hillside, he is a part of the STEM Fund. Outside of Hillside, Seth is an Undergraduate Research Assistant in the Intelligent Systems and Control Laboratory.

Gianna Rivera

Gianna Rivera is a sophomore pursuing a degree in Computer Science. At Hillside, Gianna is part of the STEM Fund. Outside of Hillside, she is the Vice President of the Business Leaders of UConn.

Nyla White

Nyla White is a senior pursuing a major in Finance. At Hillside, she is a part of the STEM Fund. Outside of Hillside, Nyla is part of the Financial Management Club.
