Fall Class'24: Hillside New Analyst

Introducing Hillside Ventures' New Members

Hillside Ventures is excited to welcome the Fall 2024 Analyst class! These students have all demonstrated a passion for venture capital, outstanding leadership skills, and exceptional academic performance. Our new Analysts will help source deals, connect with founders, conduct industry research, and expand Hillside’s presence across the venture capital and entrepreneurship ecosystems. We’re excited to work with them and continue to support innovation at UConn!

Eadaoin Clarke

Eadaoin Clarke is a senior pursing a degree in Psychology and Cognitive Science. At Hillside, she is a part of the EdTech vertical. Outside of Hillside, Eadaoin works for the UConn Center for Career Readiness and Life Skills. In her free time, Eadaoin enjoys running, swimming, hiking, and spending time with loved ones. 

Joseph Campos

Joseph Campos is a sophomore pursuing a degree in Finance. At Hillside, Joseph is part of the InsurTech vertical. Outside of Hillside, he is part of the UConn Club Tennis Team, Alpha Delta Phi, and Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society. In his free time, Joseph enjoys exercising, golfing, and spending time with his friends and family.

Maddie Castro

Maddie Castro is a sophomore studying Finance. At Hillside, Maddie is part of the SportsTech vertical. Outside of Hillside, she is a part of Women in Finance, Finance Society, and Husky Ambassadors. In her spare time, Maddie enjoys traveling, playing volleyball, and skiing.

Drew Harrington

Drew Harrington is a junior studying Finance and Entrepreneurship. At Hillside, Drew is part of the SportsTech vertical. Outside of Hillside, he is part of the Werth Innovators Program, Investment Banking Society, and Sigma Phi Epsilon. In his free time, Drew enjoys going to the gym, playing golf, and spending time with his friends, family, and dog.

Andrew Tompkins

Andrew Tompkins is a senior studying Finance. At Hillside, Andrew is part of the EdTech vertical. Outside of Hillside, he is a part of UConn's Student Managed Fund and Hillside Real Estate Investment Fund. In his free time, Andrew enjoys spending time with his friends, working out and traveling.

Kayleigh Theroux

Kayleigh Theroux is a junior pursuing a degree in Finance. At Hillside, Kayleigh is a part of the Sustainability vertical. Outside of Hillside, she is a part of Women in Finance, HuskyTHON, and Finance Society. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, hanging out with friends, and snowboarding.

Brandon Akbas

Brandon Akbas is a senior majoring in Finance. At Hillside, Brandon is part of the SportsTech vertical. Outside of Hillside, he is  part of the BCLC, Finance Society, and IB Society. In his spare time, Brandon enjoys traveling, playing sports, playing chess, and snowboarding.

Carlo Marano

Carlo Marano is a junior pursuing a degree in Finance with a minor in Real Estate. At Hillside, he is a part of the EdTech vertical. Outside of Hillside, he is a part of Delta Sigma Pi, the Investment Banking Society, and on the UConn Skydiving team. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his friends and family, watching game shows, and jumping out of planes.

Khalil Thomas

Khalil Thomas is a sophomore studying Finance & Sport Management. At Hillside, Khalil is a part of the EdTech Vertical. Outside of Hillside, he is involved with NABA, Business Management Society, and Sports Business Association, among various other club involvements. He enjoys working out, watching sports, and listening to music in his free time.

Chelsea Fredericks

Chelsea Fredericks is a sophomore majoring in Finance. At Hillside, she is a part of the SportsTech vertical. Outside of Hillside, Chelsea is a member of the Investment Banking Society, Finance Society, and Kappa Alpha Theta. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, music, and hanging out with her friends and dog.

Liam Farrell

Liam Farrell is a junior majoring in Finance with a minor in Economics. At Hillside, Liam is a part of EdTech vertical. Outside of Hillside, he is a part of the Finance Society, Investment Banking Society, Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity, and HuskyTHON. In his spare time, Liam enjoys sports, cooking, and hanging out with friends. 

Vihaan Shah

Vihaan Shah is a sophomore studying Finance. At Hillside, Vihaan is a part of the Sustainability vertical. Outside of Hillside, he is a part of the Investment Banking Society, the Consulting Group and Club Soccer team. In his spare time, he enjoys playing soccer, hiking, listening to music and traveling.

Luca Troop

Luca Troop is a Senior studying Finance and minoring in Real Estate. At Hillside, Luca is a part of the EdTech vertical. Outside of Hillside, Luca is apart of the professional business fraternity Delta Sigma Pi, the Finance society, and IB society. In his spare time, Luca enjoys reading, music, and spending time with friends. 

Kaya Cosar

Kaya Cosar is a sophomore majoring in Finance. At Hillside, Kaya is a part of the InsureTech vertical. Outside of Hillside, He is involved in the Finance Society. He also enjoys motorsports, weightlifting, and the outdoors in his free time.

Rehan Shah

Rehan Shah is a junior pursuing a degree in Finance. At Hillside, Rehan is part of the InsurTech vertical. Outside of Hillside, Rehan is part of ASCEND and The UConn Opportunity Fund. In his spare time, Rehan enjoys playing the piano, tennis, and traveling.

Samuel Tarrant

Samuel Tarrant is a senior studying Finance with a minor in Supply Chain. At Hillside, Samuel is a part of the SportsTech vertical. Outside of Hillside, Samuel is involved in Finance Society, HuskyTHON, and the UConn Women's Basketball Practice Squad. In his free time, Samuel enjoys playing the drums, lifting weights, and spending time with friends.

Nick DeManche

Nick DeManche is a junior studying Real Estate. At Hillside, Nick is a part of the SportsTech vertical. Outside of Hillside, Nick is involved in the Real Estate Society, UConn Wrestling club, and the Finance Society. In his free time, Nick enjoys lifting weights, and spending time with friends.

Elijah Williams

Elijah Williams is a sophomore studying Finance & Economics. At Hillside, Elijah is part of the Sustainability vertical. Outside of Hillside, he is a part of the Scholars Learning Community and the National Association of Black Accountants. In his spare time, Elijah enjoys eating new foods, playing basketball, and reading.

Kelsey Ponce

Outside of Hillside, she is involved in Investment Banking Society, Women in Business and Kappa Alpha Theta Fraternity. In her spare time, Kelsey enjoys reading, running and spending time with family and friends.

Ava is a junior studying Analytics & Information Management. At Hillside, Ava is part of the Sustainability vertical. Outside of Hillside, she is involved in Delta Sigma Pi Fraternity and HuskyTHON. In her spare time, Ava enjoys playing soccer, running, climbing, and snowboarding.

Kristina DeMichiel

Kristina DeMichiel is a Senior studying both Finance and Psychology. At Hillside, Kristina is apart of the Ed-Tech vertical. Outside of Hillside she is apart of UConn's Student Managed Fund, Connecticut Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation (CCEI), as well as Women in Finance Association. In her spare time, Kristina enjoys playing volleyball as well as skiing.

Yanni Tsiranides

Yanni Tsiranides is a Senior studying Finance and Financial Analysis. At Hillside, Yanni is a part of the InsurTech vertical. Outside of Hillside, he is part of the Finance Society and a Non-Commissioned Officer in the U.S. Army Reserves. In his free time, Yanni enjoys exercising, watching sports, and spending time with his friends and family.
